Here you got to dress a lab worker. It’s not so funny, but if you modify the text & pictures, the code himself might show something very funny.

OK, it’s a complete dull day since i’ll have the computer on monday, and not tonight.

What a dull day. If i except the computer tonight, only stupid things are happening.
And i didn’t tell you about my marvelous night…
I woke up this night at 4 AM when i heard the heavy rain, closed the windows, but the builder who should have make a fix in the ceiling had actually made a hole, and water was dripping from it. Kept me away from sleep for two hours.
Then i remembered i had to wake up and call Her at 7 AM, but the electricity got powered down around 6:30, probably just after i fell asleep. So i finally woke up at 10. She must have been waiting for my phone call, she must have been waiting for some hours and i hate that.

And now AOL decided i would get and send data by big packets every 10 minutes instead of a “normal” connection.

There’s that dumb guy on my left too. He’s checking my info & status in the company. It’s clearly written on the contract’s sheet that i signed one month ago. Yet he’s asking me about each info, just to check. I wrote that i’m born on june 6th 1979, he’s asking me when i’m born ! Then i say june 6th 1979, and he mumbles “oh, 06″.
I was about to say: “Asshole, don’t you understand 6.6.79 is june 6th 1979 ?”

I’m nothing more than a phone-answerer today. I hate the telephone sitting on left of my computer, it rings every fucking minute and of course i’m the one who should answer, and of course it’s NEVER a call for me, always the friends of the coworkers. And of course they are never in the office when their friends are calling, so i got to rush out and scream “hey, XXX, a call for you !”.
And, i hate this lack of confidence in me, since two days after i’m arrived, you can’t call with the phone, you can just answer.
I hate this phone.

I think i will like my first PC.

Something i never noticed in IE is the possibility to delete webpages’ URL in the log files once you’re finished with them. Very handy, i can now visit any website from my boss’s computer and he’ll never know about it …

Tape drives… Useful, but we are taking the whole morning to find out how to install ours at work. The software they provide with the tape drive doesn’t even know the tape drive, helps you to install a lot of tape drives but not a HP Colorado 14 Gb. This is all so dumb.

The new layout is not up, the new sections either. Too busy to work on the other site, i get headaches when i plan to work on mine… Well, i’m not paid for mine, so why hurry ? But sometimes i got visiters, so i will respect them (yes, you) and make things better soon. Two sections that aren’t linked yet because they’ve been directly FTPed from the previous host, are almost ready to view again. Only galleries.
Since my Mac’s mouse is half dead i won’t be able to put my journal entries as soon as i wanted to.
And most of all, i got to find good php or cgi scripts.

I must have killed the 128K modem upstairs. I downloaded LOTS of things at the same time and the modem must now be healing its wounds. The bandwidth right now is ridiculous. I hate modems. Tomorrow i’ll wake up with a T3. Oh, just a dream.

I’m stupid. The website of course was a Michael Jackson’s fan site. But not a german one. That’s what happens when you hit the “blog this !” bookmarklet once you get on the site.

Amazing. The first units-converter i found (in a hurry), i found it on a german Michael Jackson fan website. What’s the use of this tool on this kind of website ?
Maybe they want to know the exact weight of their idol, and he gives them the number in pounds only…
