valid RSS banner

The RSS Validator now has a cool icon to show you when your feed validates.
It’s ultra-trendy-dandy: soft grey border, orange RSS text, cut-off orange circle on the right with white Valid text and check. The W3C’s banners could use such a design.

  1. I love the logo design, but the colour doesn’t really do it for me. I would have preferred the exact same design but in one of the darker shades of red used by some of the other validation logos.

  2. I guess you can just launch your favorite image editor and just modify the hue/saturation ;)

  3. http://www.yayhooray.com/s-forums.cfm?action=read&id=56241 has some neat icons you can use instead of the boring W3C ones. I’m using the “Charlie’s Angel” looking one. :)

  4. I think the button looks great… but I am a fan of orange, so I am a little biased. However, I can see it being an eye sore since orange can be a hard color to work with…
