Not sure I'm following you on everything. Yep, nice to have those computers do a lot more than they currently do but it's not trivial.

First, I think you're not used enough to NNW ;-). The way I (and I reckon most of NNW users) use the app is to first read all items in the main window, sometimes selecting an interesting post by double-clicking its title or simply typing Enter (in "combined view" it then opens it as a tab in the background, so you can continue parsing items and later browse your selected tabs in their full glory in what is essentially Safari embedded in NNW).

Then, on many "prolific" feeds I read, I sometimes double-click on the feed title in the feeds list to open their home page (effectively marking all unread items as read in that feed).

Lastly, (same as above) I sometimes go directly to the site and read what's on the home page, for those sites that publish their entire posts and not just an excerpt. I would click on a particular permalink only if I want to read the comments and/or react. In this case, you would not have any indication of what I've effectly read since I don't necessarily have to (need to, want to...) click on each post URL to read it.

Nice idea, but unpractical as it seems...

Michael if this really gets to you I first want to let you know I appreciate your giftings/talents sent from heaven above. I'd like to know if you are looking to produce movies and what kind? Do you buy scripts or songs to help amateurs such as myself?

I was just reading your thing about how apparently hitler killed 42 million and i just wanted to correct you and say that stalin had a larger death toll being 25-30 million people when hitler only had 11 million. But thanks for the false information.

Hi! I tried the code on C and C++ both, and its same in both cases.
int main()
{
int value,i=1;
value=i + i++ + ++i;
printf("%d",value);
i=1;
i += i++ + ++i;
printf(" %d",i);
return 0;
}

Next i tried it with both volatile and without volatile keyword on "i". Now the catch is:-
1) Without volatile, i.e. with optimization, the answer is 4 7
2) With Volatile, i.e. without optimization, the answer is 4 5

**Will anybody make it clear why the answer in first part is 7 and in other is 5, what effect does optimization have on this???
